Working During Study
Part time work is not available during study in the Philippines however it is not necessary. As a guide, even after taking into account the income that may be earned through part time work in Australia, the significantly higher course costs and living costs is greater than the income. Hence, students are financially ahead when studying in Clark.  Other issues to consider are:
There is no Guarantee of Obtaining Part Time Work in Australia:

Whilst the Australian economy is performing better than many others in the world, part time employment is not always easy to find additionally:

  • There is no guarantee students will secure employment immediately
  • Number of hours for part time employment can go up and down depending on the needs of the employer
Cost of Living Studying in Australia is Not Capped:
The Australian Government estimates the cost of living at $300 per week. However:
  • This can vary widely depending on the city, and the location within the city
  • Cost of living generally increases over time
  • Rental vacancies are in short supply in many major Australian cities, pushing up rental costs
  • Student Visas limit working to maximum of 20 hours per week

The above does not mean studying in Australia should be avoided. It is merely meant to illustrate that Clark Education City students do not need to worry about the rise and fall of employment income and living expenses as they do in studying in other countries.

"Fixed living, accommodation and catering costs, means I do not have to worry about the cost of studying and living being more than I have budgeted."
